We are seeking an ambitious Corporate Senior Associate to join a successful and supportive national corporate team in Birmingham, offering hybrid working. This is a market-facing role with clear progression potential, including the opportunity to become a partner. You will handle and support others on a broad range of matters, including mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, exits and portfolio instructions, equity capital markets transactions, joint ventures and reorganisations.

Experience in managing transactions is essential, as you will take ownership of matters and work closely with a partner on more complex, high-value work. The team encourages and supports networking and business development to build your own connections in the local corporate finance market. The firm has a long history of providing commercial advice to businesses and is known for its dynamism, entrepreneurial spirit and practical approach.

The national corporate team consists of 70 corporate lawyers advising clients across the UK and regularly on transactions with an international angle. The team is recognised nationally and acts for clients in diverse sectors including manufacturing and retail, recruitment, and education.

At least 5 years' PQE with experience of a broad range of corporate matters
Demonstrable legal technical ability and confidence to offer commercial advice
Experience in managing or keenness to manage transactions
Ability to mentor junior team members
Commercial acumen and good negotiation skills
Personable and dynamic personality with drive to succeed and develop
Passion for working collaboratively
