Senior Associate or Counsel, Corporate & Private Equity — Chicago

Seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel to join a busy Corporate & Private Equity group in the Chicago office of a national law firm. The team handles the full range of private equity transactions, including leveraged buyouts, sponsor-backed deals, minority and growth investments, and purchases of distressed businesses.

The role offers significant exposure to fund formation and emerging manager matters as well as representation of sponsors and institutional investors. The firm emphasizes professional development, pro bono credit, and competitive compensation and benefits.

• Senior associate or counsel level with substantial private equity and corporate transactional experience
• Experience with buyouts, sponsor transactions, minority/junior investments, and distressed/company acquisitions
• Experience advising emerging managers and/or fund formation work preferred
• Strong academic credentials, excellent drafting and deal-management skills, and admission to the relevant state bar
