Senior Associate opportunity within a large, internationally active real estate finance sub-team of a global banking & finance practice. The role focuses on complex real estate lending transactions, including senior lending, back-leverage and special situations across domestic and cross-border deals.

Associates work closely with partners and clients, receive significant responsibility and regular client contact, and can expect a varied docket spanning multiple asset classes (e.g. logistics, office, hospitality, student housing, data centres). There are regular opportunities for targeted client secondments and internal office transfers.

Strong performers will find clear progression opportunities and are expected to contribute to business development and knowledge sharing across the wider finance and real estate groups.

Qualified lawyer in the UK with strong academic credentials
Proven experience in real estate finance at a major or leading practice
First-rate technical drafting and documentation skills for lending transactions
Experience on cross-border, multi-jurisdictional financings
Commercial mindset with demonstrable business development activity
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to adapt style for different audiences
Client-focused approach with ability to develop and manage client relationships
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proactive and initiative-driven
