A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its well-established insurance practice in Perth, working closely with a senior partner. The role offers a key position within a highly regarded team advising leading insurer, corporate and government clients on complex insurance and commercial disputes.

The practice has a strong focus on construction professional indemnity and first-party property matters, including disputes involving construction defects, property damage, indemnity and coverage issues, and business interruption claims. You will also work across a broad range of insurance and commercial disputes, including financial lines, casualty and product liability claims, regulatory investigations, and marine and transport-related matters.

Responsibilities include leading complex litigated matters across State and Federal jurisdictions, advising on liability, indemnity and coverage issues, developing litigation and dispute resolution strategies, acting as a trusted adviser to sophisticated clients, and mentoring junior lawyers while contributing to business development.

Senior Associate or Special Counsel level experience within insurance litigation
Strong expertise in construction professional indemnity and first-party property matters
Experience across financial lines, casualty, product liability, regulatory investigations, and marine/transport disputes
Proven ability to lead complex litigated matters in State and Federal jurisdictions
Excellent advisory, dispute resolution strategy and client relationship skills
