A growing defendant insurance practice is seeking an experienced workers' compensation Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its team in Darwin. This is a permanent, full-time or part-time position within a substantial statutory insurance group of roughly 90 people operating across several offices.

The role involves hands-on work across statutory insurance matters, including workers' compensation, recoveries and compulsory third-party claims, acting for defendant clients. You will work closely with highly regarded partners and lawyers, with significant scope for learning, development and career progression, and genuine involvement in the growth and success of the practice in the region.

At least 5 years of post-admission experience in workers' compensation.
Defendant-side experience preferred, though plaintiff-background candidates keen to move into a defendant practice will be considered.

Clear, concise legal writing skills and strong attention to detail.
