Senior Attorney Government Relations

An experienced and collaborative attorney is sought to join a nationally recognized Government Relations practice group as a Senior Attorney in Washington, DC. This benefits-eligible position carries a billable hour expectation of approximately 1500 hours.

The role involves working on precedent-setting legal matters with a team that values direct client contact, mentoring, and training. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on interesting, long-term projects with established clients.

The ideal candidate brings a bipartisan perspective and a proven track record in environmental, energy, congressional-facing, and regulatory matters. The team prides itself on diverse teams and a collaborative, team-based approach.

• Minimum of six years of legal practice experience
• Substantial work within Congress and the federal executive branch
• Legislative experience is required
• Executive branch experience is strongly preferred
• Bipartisan perspective and experience working across party lines
• Proven track record in environmental, energy, congressional-facing, and regulatory matters
• Active membership in the District of Columbia bar
• Strong intellectual curiosity, good judgment, responsiveness, and excellent written and oral communication skills
