About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Expertise Lawyer to play a central role in advancing the knowledge and expertise function within a leading Luxembourg legal practice. This position is pivotal in shaping and implementing the local expertise strategy while leveraging resources from a broad international network. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with partners and lawyers to drive quality, consistency, and legal innovation across the office.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the Luxembourg office expertise strategy, aligning with firm-wide objectives.
Champion knowledge sharing and collaboration across the office and with global colleagues.
Identify, test, and promote tools and technology, including AI and GenAI, to enhance legal service delivery.
Monitor and summarize legal and regulatory developments, contributing to thought leadership campaigns and client communications.
Draft, maintain, and coordinate standard documents, precedents, and guides to support fee earners.
Provide input into business development activities such as pitches, tenders, and directory submissions.
Organize and deliver training programs, mentor junior lawyers, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Qualified in Luxembourg or another EU jurisdiction.
Technically excellent with abilities commensurate with a senior associate.
Practitioner background ideally in Corporate, Funds, Global Loans, and/or Tax.
Experience in developing or contributing to expertise activities.
Confident engaging with lawyers and refining standard forms.
Passionate about lawyer development and knowledge sharing.
Skilled at analyzing complex legal issues and devising pragmatic solutions.
Confident and motivated to build trusted relationships across the firm.
Open to adopting AI tools and new digital capabilities.
Comfortable adapting to change and embracing innovation.
