We are seeking an experienced solicitor to join our growing healthcare regulatory team, focused on inquest advocacy and advisory work. The team advises a wide range of healthcare organisations and professionals on complex, often high-profile regulatory matters, including NHS trusts, private providers, care homes and other health and care organisations.

The role will primarily involve managing a caseload of inquest files for various NHS clients, care homes and other organisations, with opportunities to handle broader healthcare advisory and regulatory work. This includes inquests, Court of Protection applications, Mental Health Tribunals, CQC investigations and prosecutions, as well as issues around consent, confidentiality, capacity, best interests and discharge processes.

You will attend inquest hearings, advocacy at pre-inquest review hearings and inquests, and meet with clients and witnesses to prepare for court. The position is mainly based in London, with some national travel required. The firm offers a supportive, people-first culture and genuine scope for career development and progression.

Qualified solicitor with 4–10 years' PQE
Advocacy experience and a willingness to develop advocacy skills
Healthcare experience and inquest experience are desirable
Regulatory defence experience is desirable
Excellent organisational, time management, collaborative and communication skills
Ability to work to deadlines and targets, both independently and as part of a team
