Join a leading national catastrophic and complex injury team, working alongside a substantial group of partners and lawyers across the UK. This role offers the chance to develop your skills and career within a specialist practice handling the most severe and high-value claims.

The team acts for major insurers and corporates, providing strategic advice and litigation on cases involving traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, and fatal accidents. From initial investigations through to resolution, the focus is on clear strategy and effective claims solutions.

  • Assist senior fee earners and partners on complex, high-value and multi-million-pound claims.
  • Devise and implement clear case strategies, balancing client and commercial interests.
  • Manage workloads to meet client needs, commercial targets, and firm quality standards, including adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and protocols.
  • Ensure prompt billing, collection of WIP, and accurate provision of management information.
  • Apply current technical expertise and case law, while managing risk and compliance within each case.
  • Build client rapport, support business development, and contribute to client relationship activities.

We are looking for qualified solicitors, CILEX lawyers, or experienced paralegals with a background in personal injury, employers' liability/public liability, or catastrophic and complex injury claims—or a strong interest in this field.

  • Relevant legal knowledge and a commercial approach to issues.
  • Confident negotiation skills and excellent client handling ability.
  • Team-oriented, collegiate, and willing to share knowledge with others.
  • Strong personal compliance with firm protocols and procedures.
  • Previous experience working on or assisting with Personal Injury, EL/PL, or Catastrophic and Complex Injury claims, or a keen interest in this area.
  • Good legal knowledge relevant to the area of expertise.
  • Ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues.
  • Confident negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented and collegiate, with a willingness to share knowledge and support others.
  • Excellent relationship and client handling skills, able to deal confidently with clients on a day-to-day basis.
