Tax Associate – 3rd–4th Year

A leading law firm is seeking a highly qualified mid-level associate to join its transactional tax practice in the Silicon Valley office. This is a generalist transactional tax role that offers substantial client contact and the opportunity to work closely with the firm's corporate practice.

The tax team advises clients on a wide range of matters, including corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; partnerships, LLCs and other joint ventures; private equity and private equity fund formation; real estate, real estate fund formation and REITs; regulated investment companies; and financing and capital markets transactions. Associates are expected to work collaboratively in teams while independently managing substantial components of deals.

• 3–4 years of experience in general transactional tax work
• J.D. class of 2022–2023
• Experience working in teams and managing substantial components of transactions independently
• Outstanding academic credentials and comparable law firm experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant bar admission, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
