The Dallas seat splits in two. Stantec's Corporate Counsel req 1003526 (posted 13 July 2026, expired 12 August 2026) reported to Managing Counsel for Infrastructure/Buildings: professional-service and construction agreements including design/build, joint ventures and professional services, plus professional-liability litigation, at 7–10 years with AEC experience required. CDM Smith's Senior Legal Counsel, Construction (posted 16 January 2026, expired 15 February 2026) reported to the General Counsel and added claims for delay, disruption, design errors and omissions, and terminations, at 8+ years. Neither Dallas posting printed a USD band.
Corgan's live downtown Corporate Attorney, iCIMS 3539, datePosted 2 August 2026, is on-site at 401 North Houston Street, not hybrid, supporting the CLO and AGC on commercial contracts, office leases, ESOP and entity formation, at 5+ years. AECOM's Counsel or Senior Counsel (West Region, Dallas named, req J10142583, January 2026) is the hybrid construction/contracts cousin: A/E paper, design-build, P3 and EPC, at 5 or 7 years. Brown and Caldwell's Dallas Location A band (December 2025) is the design-build water cousin, at 8+ years, with conflict-of-interest analysis written into the remit.
Four benches feed this work: construction and P3 associates; peer A&E in-house counsel, often walled; energy-infrastructure contracts lawyers who have already run a design-build closeout; and a first in-house move from a Dallas construction practice. General-contractor counsel is a different row. Across the 8 Engineering & Design Firms searches inside Sartori's 22 closed Dallas files over 36 months, 5 of the placements had already run both a professional-services agreement and a design-build or joint-venture schedule. A general counsel at a national AE firm's North Texas buildings desk told us the first filter is the live operator list, not the class year.
