Dallas Innovates reported on 18 August 2026 that Cushman & Wakefield ranked Dallas-Fort Worth first among 107 global data-centre markets on 24 metrics. JLL's first-half 2026 DFW figures in that article: 4,587 MW existing, 2,297 MW first-half absorption, 2,164 MW first-half completions and 3,202 MW under construction. Cushman tied DFW and Austin at $9.4 million–$12.1 million per megawatt last year. Legal headcount follows that steel here.

Corgan's September 2025 leadership release said the Dallas-headquartered firm had doubled to more than 1,200 employees over five years, with more than 270 data-centre team members. On 7 October 2025 Corgan announced that Building Design + Construction's 2025 ranking had placed it first among the nation's largest data-centre architecture firms. Page's mission-critical page states more than 70 data-centre projects in the past decade and 12+ liquid-cooled halls, including NTT's Garland TX1 campus. HKS is design firm of record on AREP Powerhouse Las Colinas in Irving (TDLR TABS2025013924, 11 March 2025: 300,000 SF, 65 MW). Fort Worth City Council on 11 August 2026 unanimously took the first statutory step toward a 90-day data-centre pause under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 212; if adopted, it runs 16 February 2027 to 17 May 2027. On 25 August 2026 the same council approved 7–4 Black Mountain's $10 billion, 187-acre campus. The Dallas Morning News reported on 14 August 2026 that five Dallas City Council members asked Mayor Eric Johnson that day to review the city's development code. Seniority lands at 7–10 years. This accounted for 4 of the 8, and it is the shape that dies when a preferred name has already marked up the GC teammate's agreement on a live bid.

West-Region hybrid construction/contracts counsel. AECOM's January 2026 Counsel or Senior Counsel seat named Dallas, Austin and Denver and asked for alternative-delivery paper across water, transit, aviation and energy. That is 2 of the 8. Utility Dive reported on 11 August 2026 that Oncor CEO Allen Nye told analysts service requests had risen from 289 GW at end-Q1 2026 to 298 GW in Q2, with about 44 GW of Oncor-territory large-load projects already inside ERCOT's Batch Zero (loads of 75 MW and larger) before the governor paused new data-centre interconnection approvals. On 18 June 2026 the Public Utility Commission of Texas approved that process; Utility Dive reported ERCOT was tracking more than 438 GW of large-load requests, nearly 90 percent from data centres. The overlap is the usable range. The two printed bands share $145,000–$199,000; an architecture-firm offer that sits outside that overlap is the outlier, not the AECOM ceiling.
