In-house counsel salary in Amsterdam, 2026.

The number the market treats as a law-firm leftover is a counsel and general-counsel band. A company that prices it off the published Zuidas lockstep is buying the wrong job.

The leftover is a category error.

Amsterdam general counsel still walk into compensation meetings carrying a published associate scale. Across 250 structured interviews with Amsterdam counsel and general counsel, that is the wrong document. This page prices the in-house number a company pays and a counsel earns.

Lens 01 · The leftover The in-house number is a counsel band, not a discarded lockstep rung.

The Nederlands Genootschap van Bedrijfsjuristen’s 2025 survey, reported by Mr. Online on 27 November 2025, put 46 percent of full-time respondents in the EUR 100,000–150,000 band. That is a counsel and general-counsel figure, national, self-selected, and not a vacancy census. Price the seat. Do not leftover it.

A head of HR who asks us for a legal counsel salary Amsterdam benchmark is usually holding a published associate scale. The 2026 in-house number is a different instrument. The dated table is below.

The 2026 legal counsel salary Amsterdam table

Dated cash first. The survey band is what a counsel earns and a company should budget. The postings are what specific Amsterdam buyers advertised. The lockstep is the opportunity-cost floor, not the in-house number.

Start with the survey, because it is the only 2026 figure that describes in-house counsel as a class. The Nederlands Genootschap van Bedrijfsjuristen’s Nationale Enquête Bedrijfsjuristen 2025, reported by Mr. Online on 27 November 2025 and last modified the next day, put 46 percent of full-time respondents in the EUR 100,000–150,000 band, with salaries “more often in the EUR 100,000–200,000 band than below EUR 100,000.” Four percent sit above EUR 250,000. The sample is 360 members from an in-house-only association of more than 1,900; four-fifths have more than ten years’ experience. It is national, not an Amsterdam-only median, and this page will not invent one.

Converted at the ECB euro reference of USD 1.1592 on 11 September 2026, that modal band is about $116,000–$174,000; the EUR 250,000 top print is about $289,800. Sixty percent of respondents have a bonus (71 percent of those mixed company and personal); 43 percent a lease car; 33 percent a 13th month; 25 percent equity. Those extras sit on top of the band. They are not in the EUR 100,000–150,000 print.

Sortable — 2026 cash a counsel earns or a company posted in Amsterdam, with the published Zuidas lockstep held only as opportunity cost. Survey rows are national NGB members; posting rows are single employer advertisements; lockstep rows are firm-supplied monthly base as of 1 January 2026.

IND, 24 December 2025 ↗

A head of HR reading down that axis can see the category error in a single glance. The municipal floor, EUR 4,520 a month, sits below Linklaters year-one base of EUR 5,713. The municipal ceiling annualizes to EUR 77,064, about $89,300 at the 11 September 2026 ECB rate — neck-and-neck with year-one plus holiday pay (EUR 74,040, about $85,800) and nowhere near the NGB modal band. The public FTE is a junior-lockstep conversation. The NGB modal band is a different object: it is what experienced in-house counsel actually report earning, and a seventh-year published Zuidas wage already lives inside it.

FD analysis restated by Mr. Online on 28 July 2026 tracked the fourteen firms that published year-one salaries continuously since 2022: year-one pay rose 21 percent against Dutch inflation of 21.8 percent. Year-four rose 19.5 percent; year-seven 17.5 percent — real pay down at mid and senior associate. That is the lockstep a company is tempted to treat as a discount when it looks at an in-house requisition. It is a discount on a different product. The sibling Amsterdam lawyer-salary table owns the associate ladder as a lawyer-pay page; this page uses those rungs only as the floor a counsel is being asked to beat.

NGB 2025 extras on top of the EUR 100,000–150,000 print. The modal band is salary; more than half of members have at least one of these stacked on it.

03 Who pays it

Four desks write the check. Only one of them is a law firm.

The 2026 in-house number is paid by banks, platforms, pension administrators and public bodies sitting in Amsterdam. The Zuidas pays a different wage for a different seat. Name the buyer before you name the band.

Company payrollPublic payroll

  1. Listed banks and platforms Employment, works-council, markets, product and public-affairs counsel on a company contract. The NGB band lives here. Court advocacy is bought only when the posting says so.
  2. Funds and pension administrators Small legal teams, statute-heavy, most work done internally. FDI and public M&A still leave the building. The in-house FTE is the reader, not the deal lawyer.
  3. Regulators, the city, the EU agency Jurist seats with posted floors that lose to Magic Circle year-one, and ceilings that never reach a seventh-year lockstep. These are the empty public seats: they do not require an advocaat and cannot pay for one.

A listed Amsterdam bank is the cleanest private-sector print we have. ING Bank N.V. posted Legal Counsel Arbeidsrecht & Industrial Relations on 11 August 2026 at EUR 5,677–9,137 a month for its NL HR Legal & Industrial Relations team: CAO, reorganizations, Wet op de ondernemingsraden, European works council, and litigation as advocaat or representative at Rechtbank and Gerechtshof. The gate is WO rechten, Dutch and English, and the posting explicitly expects court advocacy. Annualize twelve months and the band is EUR 68,124–109,644 before 13th month and holiday pay — about $79,000–$127,100 at the 11 September 2026 ECB rate. That is a counsel posting that still needs an advocaat. It is not a leftover from a lockstep. ABN AMRO’s Legal department describes about 160 colleagues; its live Amsterdam internship in Wealth, Markets and Clearing pays EUR 750 a month and is a student seat, not a counsel wage.

Platform headquarters pay a different mix. Booking.com’s Legal and Public Affairs team page, read as a function description rather than a vacancy, states a group of over 25 nationalities partnering internally on a multi-jurisdiction landscape from the Oosterdokseiland campus. The titles that appear on aggregator copies of Booking postings were not opened on the employer domain and are omitted. The measured fact is that a large Amsterdam platform runs an in-house product, regulatory and public-affairs desk that does not look like a Zuidas secondment.

Pension capital is the quiet third private buyer. APG employs 4,500 people and describes lawyers who advise on the interpretation and application of legislation; its Staff & Support track listed “no relevant vacancies” on the day. That is a measured empty listing, not a count of unfilled general-counsel seats. NGB members cluster in industry, financial institutions and business services — the cell a pension administrator sits in. Bureau Toetsing Investeringen recorded 78 new Wet Vifo notifications in 2025; Houthoff’s 9 June 2026 restatement of that caseload noted that more than half of completed 2025 files had Dutch acquirers, including Dutch private-equity funds. That filing work is bought from FDI and corporate practices at Amsterdam firms. It is not absorbed by a two-to-ten person NGB team.

Public payroll is where the leftover story becomes a hiring failure. The AFM posted Jurist pensioentoezicht on 28 May 2026 at EUR 64,000–106,000 a year including 13th month and holiday pay, on a 30-person Pensions team, Pensioenwet, four or more years. Its Jurist Markt Adviseurs en Bemiddelaars seat prints junior EUR 50,000–85,000 and medior EUR 60,000–100,000, Wft, two or more years. The City of Amsterdam posted Senior Juridisch Medewerker on 31 August 2026 at scale 11, EUR 4,520–6,422, HBO legal, five years, Awb, Omgevingswet, APV, two FTE. DNB Legal Services “usually engage[s] external legal counsel” for administrative and civil proceedings; its vacancy widgets showed no legal vacancies when accessed. The European Medicines Agency, at Domenico Scarlattilaan 6, advertised a Legal Department trainee on a stipend of EUR 2,049.77 with a 30 September 2026 deadline — EU law, English C1, no Dutch bar. Concentration control at ACM sits in The Hague; this page does not price that desk.

04 The leftover

Why the Zuidas table looks cheaper — and why that is the wrong read.

CBS legal-services turnover is still a price story. Public M&A is still a firm-side story. Neither fact is a reason to leftover the counsel who reads what the board signs.

Our Amsterdam mandate telemetry records 15 closed in-house searches over the trailing three years. Nine were company or fund seats; six were public-body or regulator seats. Of the nine company seats, five closed inside the NGB modal band of EUR 100,000–150,000; four required a package above EUR 150,000 once holiday pay, 13th month and bonus were stacked. Four of the 15 files reopened after a first-round offer because the company had priced the seat off a junior lockstep and the shortlist walked. The 93 percent completion rate counts those four as completed only after the band was rewritten. The first brief was wrong.

Across 250 structured interviews with Amsterdam counsel and general counsel, 68 of 94 respondents sitting inside company legal departments over a 24-month window said their last compensation conversation used a published Zuidas associate scale as the comparator. A general counsel at a listed Amsterdam bank put the internal logic without decoration: HR had brought the Linklaters table into the meeting and asked why the company would pay more for someone who would not go to court. That is the leftover in one sentence. It treats advocacy hours as the product, and it discards the counsel whose product is the company’s own paper.

Looks cheaperCosts more

  1. The published lockstep A year-one cash wage that already clears a municipal floor. Easy to paste into a requisition. Easy to defend to a CFO who has seen De Stand.
  2. The discarded FTE The counsel seat is treated as leftover because the table looks cheaper and the team is under ten. Litigation is 5 percent of NGB time, so the court argument is available.
  3. The panel invoice Public M&A, FDI filings, and the advocacy DNB already buys outside come back as firm spend. The leftover does not disappear. It changes ledger lines.

The capital constraint behind that error is documented, and it is not Amsterdam-only. Thomson Reuters Institute’s 2026 State of the Corporate Law Department Report, published 24 March 2026, found 86 percent of general counsel saying legal is a significant contributor to business success against 17 percent of other C-suite executives; nearly half of general counsel cited staffing and resource constraints as the top barrier; 36 percent expected overall outside-counsel spend to increase over the next year against 20 percent expecting a decrease. Do more with less, and still expect the panel bill to rise. That is the atmosphere in which a Zuidas table looks like a saving.

CBS, the Dutch statistics office, measured legal-services turnover (rechtskundige dienstverlening — law firms, notaries, bailiffs) up 8.5 percent for full-year 2025 (10 March 2026), up 6.3 percent in the first quarter of 2026 “mainly from higher prices” with legal-service prices up 5.3 percent (11 June 2026), and up 6.1 percent in the second quarter with prices up 5.0 percent (8 September 2026). Adjacent staffing-industry turnover was minus 0.1 percent for full-year 2025. The 2026 revenue lift at firms is a price story first. A company that leftover the FTE to “buy cheaper on the Zuidas” is walking into that price story, not around it.

The demand that actually prices the Zuidas table is not an in-house requisition. A&O Shearman’s Trends in Dutch Public M&A 2026 (landing 7 July 2026, covering 1 January 2025 to 26 June 2026) put 2025 public-M&A volume at almost EUR 35 billion in big-ticket cross-border deals, against three smaller-ticket public deals in 2024. Average bid premium 39.9 percent; average announcement-to-delisting 41 weeks. KNB recorded 94,000 BV incorporations in 2025, up 16 percent. De Brauw reported EUR 229.1 million net revenue for calendar 2025 on 2 June 2026. None of that is a reason to payroll a seventh-year onto a ten-person company team. All of it is a reason the published lockstep exists. Using it to leftover the counsel who will never run those deals is the category error this page is for.

CBS legal-services turnover versus the price component, national series. Amsterdam is not split out. The 2026 lift is a price story; it is the invoice a company meets when it leftovers the FTE.

HR brought the lockstep into the room and asked why we would pay more for someone who will not go to court.
On the comparator
05 What the seat is

The number buys a counsel job. It does not buy an advocaat.

NGB members spend about 5 percent of time on litigation. Most in-house postings do not require NOvA admission. The leftover error begins when a company pays for a title the seat cannot use.

NOvA’s path to the tableau, updated 17 July 2026, is a Dutch university bachelor and master in law with civiel effect, then a three-year stage and a two-year Beroepsopleiding. The September 2026 BA cohort costs EUR 14,255 excluding VAT. Stage minima include five opposed court appearances and ten documents, seven of them process documents. The basistest is abolished for stagiairs starting September 2026 or later. That is the training a Zuidas year-one is still inside. It is not the training an AFM jurist posting asks for, and it is not the training a municipal scale-11 HBO seat can pay for.

The in-house title mix is the part a lockstep comparator erases. NGB membership is in-house only, more than 1,900, contribution EUR 175 excluding VAT, 31 knowledge sessions in 2025. Sixteen percent of 2025 respondents work as advocaat in dienstbetrekking — the Cohen-advocate who remains on the tableau and, under Voda article 5.9 and the professioneel statuut, may act only for the employer except at legal-expenses insurers. Advocatenblad on 15 June 2023 put that national stock at 966 of 18,562 advocates in a May 2023 snapshot; this page does not update that count. About 44 percent of NGB respondents previously worked in private practice. One percent want to become advocaat. More than two in five want to become general counsel. Teams typically sit under ten; the general counsel sits on the executive board in about one-third of organizations; most legal work is done internally; litigation is about 5 percent of time.

Advice on the payrollAdvocacy on the tableau

  1. Bedrijfsjurist / counsel WO-master, statute fluency, no NOvA admission. This is the NGB majority and the seat a company actually has open.
  2. General counsel on the board Same payroll, different altitude. About one in three NGB organizations put the GC on the executive board. The band is still the survey band, not a lockstep rung.
  3. Cohen-advocate The minority title. Bought when the posting needs Rechtbank and Gerechtshof. Paid on a company band, not because the lockstep looked cheap.
Qualification gates against the 2026 cash each gate actually meets. The leftover error is paying for the first row when the requisition is the second.

NOvA recorded 516 new advocates sworn in in arrondissement Amsterdam in 2025, against a net stock increase of 118. That churn is the Zuidas training machine, not an in-house census: the tableau grew, and the leftover error is treating those new A-numbers as a pool that will fill a counsel seat at a public floor. Of the 15 closed Amsterdam in-house searches in our three-year telemetry, two required the Cohen-advocate title because the company needed court advocacy on its own paper; thirteen did not require NOvA admission. UWV scored juristen as zeer krap in the first quarter of 2026 on its national Spanningsindicator — 87 of 93 occupation groups remaining tight or very tight. Tightness is not a reason to gold-plate the requisition with a tableau number the seat will not use. NOvA’s rechtsgebiedenregister still peaks on arbeidsrecht at 2,597 national registrations in De Balie in Beeld 2026, not on M&A. The ING posting sits on that employment label. The AFM postings sit on Wft and Pensioenwet. The municipal posting sits on Awb and Omgevingswet. None of those labels is a seventh-year capital-markets lockstep.

A head of legal at an Amsterdam platform headquarters described the NGB band, in the same interview cohort, as the number the CFO would defend and the number a seventh-year would laugh at. Both halves can be true at once. The seventh-year is laughing at a counsel job. The CFO is defending a counsel budget. The leftover happens when those two sentences are treated as a reason to withdraw the FTE rather than as a reason to stop using the lockstep as the brief.

06 Pricing the hire

Budget the counsel band. Write the overlay second. Do not paste the lockstep.

Both readers sit in this section: the company that pays the 2026 figure, and the counsel who would earn it. The close is the company conversation, because the leftover is a buyer error.

Sartori’s Amsterdam in-house counter-offer incidence is 27 percent, and the median offer-to-acceptance window is 13 working days. Of the 15 closed searches, the nine company-side files absorbed three of the four counter-offers we recorded; public-body files almost never counter, because the scale is the scale. Typical time-to-fill is 4 to 7 months. Two of the six public-body or regulator searches sat at the seven-month edge because the posted public floors sat below a Zuidas year-one with holiday pay and the first shortlist declined. That is the uncomfortable number on this desk: we complete the files we take, including the ones we should have re-briefed on day one, and the public seats we cannot re-price are the slow ones.

Your exposure is a leftover brief, not a thin market. UWV still scores juristen as zeer krap. The stall we see is a lockstep pasted onto a counsel seat.

  • Name the buyer on the requisition. Bank employment counsel, platform regulatory, pension statute, AFM jurist and municipal VTH are five different cash instruments. Paste one band across them and the shortlist will tell you.
  • Budget the NGB modal for a counsel or GC seat. EUR 100,000–150,000 is the 2026 figure 46 percent of full-time members report. Stack bonus, 13th month and holiday pay on top rather than pretending they live inside the print.
  • Do not gold-plate with a tableau number. Thirteen of our 15 closed Amsterdam in-house files did not need NOvA admission. The two that did needed Rechtbank. Write that distinction into the brief before anyone is approached.
  • Price the overlay as a second line. A 2026 NGB-modal offer clears the EUR 48,013 expertise floor. IND’s 30-and-over knowledge-migrant norm is EUR 5,942 a month excluding holiday pay. The facility falls to 27 percent in 2027.
  • Expect the counter on company files. Twenty-seven percent of this city’s in-house line draws one. Public scales rarely move. If you cannot defend the band internally, do not open the search.

Your 2026 number is the NGB band, not a seventh-year lockstep you are being asked to beat. Twenty-seven percent of members plan to apply elsewhere within 12 months; of movers, 58 percent cite salary.

  • Read the posting’s extras. Sixty percent of NGB members have a bonus; a third have a 13th month. A municipal IKB of 17.05 percent and an AFM print that already includes 13th month and holiday pay are not comparable to a lockstep base.
  • Know whether the seat needs the tableau. Sixteen percent of NGB respondents are Cohen-advocates. If the posting does not mention Rechtbank, the title is not the product.
  • Watch the 2027 overlay. The 30 percent facility becomes 27 percent, with a higher salary floor. Transitional law protects decisions in force by 31 December 2023.
  • The public ceiling is a different career. Scale 11 at the City of Amsterdam opens below Magic Circle year-one and tops out in a junior-lockstep conversation. CAO Rijk scale 18 maxes at EUR 12,345.58 a month from 1 July 2026 — where a published year-seven already sits.
  • Ambition inside the band is GC, not advocaat. More than two in five NGB members want the general-counsel seat; 1 percent want the tableau. Price the move on that map.

Two closed files show the same arithmetic from opposite ends of the buyer map. A listed Amsterdam bank asked us to fill an employment and works-council counsel seat. The first brief arrived with a floor copied from a junior published lockstep, around EUR 70,000 all-in. The posting the bank later put on its own careers page sat at EUR 5,677–9,137 a month with court advocacy required. We rewrote the band into the upper half of that range, approached on the Cohen-advocate title, and closed in five months. The leftover was the first brief, not the candidate.

A payments platform with a small Amsterdam legal team asked for product and regulatory counsel, DMA and DSA fluency, no NOvA admission. The package sat inside the NGB modal band plus the 30 percent ruling; the IND 30-and-over floor cleared on a twelve-month reading. Time-to-fill was four months, inside the 4-to-7-month typical. A head of HR at a pension administrator, in the same cohort, told us the opposite stall: the board had compared a statute-heavy counsel seat to a year-four lockstep and frozen the requisition. That file is not in the 15. We did not take it until the comparator was withdrawn.

CAO Rijk monthly maxima from 1 July 2026 (36-hour week) against the published Linklaters year-seven monthly base. The lockstep already lives at the top of the senior civil-service range; a municipal scale-11 ceiling does not.

CAO Rijk salary tables, 1 July 2026; Lefebvre Sdu De Stand 2026, Linklaters year-seven monthly base as of 1 January 2026.

CAO Rijk 2026 runs 1 January to 31 December 2026, with 2.7 percent from 1 July 2026 and a one-off August 2026 gross payment of EUR 1,000 from scale 11 up. Scale 11 itself prints EUR 4,132.76–6,275.94. That civil-service floor is the neighborhood of public legal seats; it is not the NGB counsel band. A company that uses it as a private-sector benchmark leftovers the FTE twice: once against the lockstep, and once against the state.

We have worked the Amsterdam in-house line for five years. The service view of the same book, with the brief-to-close process, sits on our in-house counsel recruiting page. Companies building a legal function from nothing rather than adding a seat should start with the first general counsel guide. The Zuidas associate ladder, used here only as opportunity cost, is tabulated on the Amsterdam lawyer-salary page. The buyer map for the city sits on the Amsterdam legal-market briefing.

Amsterdam in-house counsel pay: questions from both sides of the table

What is the legal counsel salary Amsterdam figure for 2026?

The 2026 in-house figure is EUR 100,000–150,000 for 46 percent of full-time NGB respondents. The Nederlands Genootschap van Bedrijfsjuristen’s 2025 survey, reported by Mr. Online on 27 November 2025, is a national member sample of 360, not an Amsterdam-only cut and not a vacancy census. Four percent of full-time respondents sit above EUR 250,000. Live Amsterdam postings sit on a different instrument: a listed bank advertised EUR 5,677–9,137 a month on 11 August 2026, and the AFM’s pension-supervision jurist posted EUR 64,000–106,000 a year including 13th month and holiday pay on 28 May 2026. Budget the survey band for a counsel or general counsel seat; budget the posting for the specific buyer.

How does Amsterdam in-house pay compare with a Zuidas associate scale?

A seventh-year Linklaters Amsterdam base already sits inside the NGB modal band, at EUR 143,028–154,470 with holiday pay. Lefebvre Sdu’s De Stand 2026, as of 1 January 2026, puts that year-seven monthly gross at EUR 11,919 excluding holiday pay, bonus and benefits. Year-one on the same published table is EUR 5,713 a month — EUR 74,040 with 8 percent holiday pay. The City of Amsterdam’s scale-11 floor of EUR 4,520 sits below that year-one base; the scale-11 ceiling of EUR 6,422 is still a junior-lockstep conversation, not an NGB counsel band. Elite Dutch independents did not publish 2026 associate scales in that edition. The comparison is arithmetic on sourced euro, not a reason to discard the in-house FTE.

What do Amsterdam companies and public bodies actually post for counsel?

Live 2026 Amsterdam postings run from a municipal EUR 4,520–6,422 a month to a listed-bank EUR 5,677–9,137 a month. ING Bank N.V. posted the bank band on 11 August 2026 for an employment and works-council counsel who is expected to appear at Rechtbank and Gerechtshof. The AFM’s two Amsterdam jurist seats (pension supervision, published 28 May 2026; market advisers) sit at EUR 50,000–106,000 including 13th month and holiday pay. The City of Amsterdam’s Senior Juridisch Medewerker posting of 31 August 2026 is scale 11, HBO legal, five years, Awb and Omgevingswet — a public floor below Linklaters year-one base, and a ceiling that still sits in a junior-lockstep conversation rather than the NGB counsel band. Those are advertised ranges, not salaries paid.

Should we hire Amsterdam counsel in-house, or keep sending the work to the Zuidas?

NGB members spend only 5 percent of time on litigation; hire the counsel whose signature sits on the company’s own paper. DNB Legal already instructs firms for administrative and civil proceedings. A&O Shearman’s 2026 public-M&A survey put 2025 Dutch public-offer volume at almost EUR 35 billion — work that sits in Zuidas corporate and financial-regulatory practices, not in a two-to-ten person in-house team. Thomson Reuters Institute’s 2026 corporate-law-department report found 36 percent of general counsel expect outside-counsel spend to rise even as nearly half cite staffing as the top barrier. The leftover error is treating those two facts as a reason not to payroll the counsel who reads what the board signs.

How long does an Amsterdam in-house counsel search take, and what happens to the offer?

Sartori’s Amsterdam in-house desk typically closes in 4 to 7 months, against a 13-day median offer-to-acceptance window. Of 15 closed Amsterdam in-house searches over the trailing three years, 93 percent completed; counter-offer incidence on this city and line is 27 percent. Four of those 15 files reopened after a first-round offer because the company had priced the seat off a junior lockstep and the shortlist walked. Public-body seats in the same book sat at the long end of the band: the posted public floors could not clear a Zuidas year-one with holiday pay.

What does the 30 percent ruling do to a 2026 Amsterdam in-house offer?

A 2026 NGB-modal offer of EUR 100,000–150,000 clears the EUR 48,013 expertise floor; the tax-free slice caps at EUR 78,600. Belastingdienst’s 2026 threshold is EUR 48,013 taxable salary excluding the allowance (EUR 36,497 for under-30s with a master’s). The maximum tax-free reimbursement is EUR 78,600 at a salary of EUR 262,000 or more — the same figure as the 2026 WNT cap. The facility stays at 30 percent through 2026 and becomes 27 percent from 2027, with a higher salary floor. IND’s 2026 knowledge-migrant norm for age 30 and over is EUR 5,942 a month excluding holiday pay, which sits inside the listed-bank posted band and above Linklaters year-one base.

In-house cash comes from the NGB 2025 member survey and from employer careers pages accessed in 2026. The Zuidas rungs are Lefebvre Sdu De Stand 2026, used here only as opportunity cost. Overlays come from Belastingdienst, IND and the WNT ministerial regulation.

NGB figures are a national member survey, not an Amsterdam-only median and not a vacancy census. Posted bands are advertised ranges, not salaries paid. Elite Dutch independents did not publish 2026 associate scales in De Stand 2026; those rungs are omitted rather than estimated. DNB and APG empty listings are access-date snapshots. The 966 Cohen-advocate count is a May 2023 stock. USD conversions use the ECB reference of 11 September 2026 (USD 1.1592 per euro). ACM is named only as a The Hague contrast.

Our own numbers — the interview cohort, the mandate telemetry, the counter-offer incidence and the offer-to-acceptance window — come from the continuous research program described on our research page: nearly 1.5 million lawyer profiles mapped globally and quarterly market surveys since 2019. The city interview instrument and mapping coverage behind every Sartori figure on this page are set out there.
