Leading national law firm is seeking a Counsel or Senior Counsel–level appellate attorney to join its California appellate practice across multiple offices. The role will focus on handling state and federal appeals, advising trial teams on preserving and developing appellate issues, and managing all stages of appellate work from briefing through oral argument.

The attorney will collaborate with litigation groups across offices, mentor junior lawyers, and work directly with clients on appellate strategy. The position offers the opportunity to work on a broad docket of civil appeals and complex post-trial matters within a well-established litigation platform.

JD from an accredited law school and active California bar admission (or ability to waive in).
Several years of appellate litigation experience in state and/or federal courts.
Exceptional legal writing, brief drafting, and oral advocacy skills.
Experience counseling trial teams on preserving appellate issues and managing post-trial practice.
Ability to collaborate across offices, mentor junior attorneys, and manage client relationships.
