Banking & Finance Associate

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Banking & Finance Associate (2–5 PQE) to join an ambitious, motivated team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will undertake a broad range of finance work, including corporate lending and real estate finance, acting for a wide range of lenders and borrowers, from banks and insurers to debt funds and major corporates.

You will collaborate with colleagues across multiple UK offices and have the opportunity to work on cross-border transactions within a global network. The team is committed to supporting your development through award-winning learning programmes and accessible know-how resources, and you will be encouraged to contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.

• Between two and five years’ post-qualification experience in general banking work on a wide variety of transactions (Scots law and/or English law candidates considered).
• Broad knowledge of corporate banking law gained within private practice.
• Enthusiasm for keeping up with the latest trends and decisions in finance law.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands.
• A collaborative team player who can also work independently and use initiative.
• Flexibility and adaptability to change.
• Skilled at building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Proven ability to solve problems and deal with client matters.
