Associate — Healthcare & Medical Malpractice, Costa Mesa

Seeking a litigation associate to join a busy healthcare & medical malpractice practice in Costa Mesa. The role involves defending healthcare providers in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings across a range of clinical areas.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. The team handles high-volume, complex medical malpractice and professional liability matters and supports collaborative case teams.

Ideal candidates are self-starters who work well independently and as part of a team, have strong writing and analytical skills, and can manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment. The office offers standard employee benefits and a hybrid work arrangement.

• Admitted to practice in California
• 1–7 years of civil litigation experience; medical malpractice defense experience preferred
• Comfortable with discovery, dispositive and evidentiary motions, and depositions
• Strong legal writing, analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple matters
