Apply in confidence →Leading international construction practice in London is seeking a client-focused Associate to work on cross-border infrastructure and energy projects. The role will support projects across the Gulf region and work closely with colleagues in the UAE on complex, time-sensitive matters.
Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating construction contracts (including FIDIC and bespoke forms), providing strategic contract advice, conducting risk reviews, and aligning legal solutions with commercial and operational objectives. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and contributing to business development and thought leadership.
- Qualified lawyer with 5-8 years' PQE in construction or infrastructure project work
- Proven experience drafting, advising on and negotiating construction contracts (eg. FIDIC and bespoke forms) and associated project documentation
- Experience advising on cross-border projects and working with project teams and in-house counsel
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and time-management skills; able to handle multiple matters under pressure
- Fluent English and strong commercial awareness; willingness to participate in business development and client-facing activities
