Apply in confidence →A top-ranked Commercial Disputes team is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Bristol office. The practice handles a broad range of litigation, arbitration, investigations and crisis-management mandates for international and domestic clients across sectors including financial services, professional services, technology, media, telecoms, life sciences, retail, energy, mobility and infrastructure.
The work spans high-value, complex High Court proceedings, international arbitration, fraud and misconduct claims, accounting and audit-related disputes, contractual and corporate disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings, and internal investigations in the UK and internationally — frequently involving multi-jurisdictional and parallel civil, regulatory and criminal exposure.
As a Senior Associate you will take a leading role in day-to-day management of complex matters, working closely with partners to develop and implement litigation and investigation strategies, managing teams and workstreams, coordinating with counsel, experts and overseas advisers, and providing clear, practical advice to clients. The role offers significant client contact, responsibility for sensitive decisions under pressure, and scope to contribute to business development and practice growth.
- Substantial experience of High Court litigation, including high-value, complex and multi-party claims
- Experience advising clients in regulatory investigations and conducting internal investigations, in the UK and internationally
- Strong analytical, drafting and case-management skills, including handling complex evidence and working with experts
- Confidence to provide commercially focused advice and build trusted client relationships
- Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers, and managing teams, budgets and competing priorities
- Interest in contributing to practice growth through client development and wider team initiatives
