Apply in confidence →National-conflicts role supporting a large, multi-office law firm’s conflicts clearance, waiver generation, and conflicts compliance across practices and jurisdictions. The position handles identification, analysis and resolution of potential and actual conflicts for incoming legal personnel and new matters, and assists with implementing ethical walls and outside counsel guideline compliance.
The attorney will collaborate with senior conflicts leadership and the general counsel’s office, follow up with lawyers and staff to obtain necessary clearances and waivers, and maintain conflict documentation and records. The role may include training more junior conflicts staff and requires periodic office presence as business needs dictate.
- JD from an accredited law school and active state bar admission in good standing
- At least 2 years of conflicts-of-interest experience in a law firm or financial institution conflicts group
- Strong working knowledge of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and conflicts analysis across jurisdictions
- Excellent analytical, organizational, written and oral communication skills; ability to manage time-sensitive matters with minimal supervision
- Experience with conflicts for complex transactional matters and lateral hires strongly preferred
