Apply in confidence →Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a talented mid-level corporate associate (4–6 years PQE) to join its highly regarded public M&A practice in London.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex public and private M&A transactions, including takeovers, schemes of arrangement, and related advisory work for listed companies. You will be involved in the full deal lifecycle, from structuring through drafting and closing, and will work closely with partners and clients on cross-border matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on the UK Listing Rules and the UK Takeover Code.
- Drafting offer documents, circulars, and other transaction documentation.
- Negotiating key commercial and corporate agreements.
- Conducting legal and commercial due diligence.
- Coordinating with internal teams and external advisers.
- Supporting business development and mentoring junior associates.
Ideal candidates will have strong experience in public and private M&A, excellent drafting and analytical skills, and a commercial, team-oriented approach. This is an excellent opportunity for career growth in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

- Qualified solicitor with 4–6 years PQE in corporate M&A.
- Solid track record in public M&A, including takeovers and schemes, as well as private M&A.
- Strong knowledge of the UK Takeover Code and Listing Rules.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams efficiently.
- Commercial awareness and proactive problem-solving.
