Join a growing national costs team handling a varied caseload across the UK. You will prepare bills of costs for detailed and provisional assessment and support the litigation of bills through the court process, with potential involvement in advocacy as agreed.

Advise and take instructions from clients throughout the case lifecycle
Provide technical support to fee earners and assist with training junior team members
Work flexibly with internal stakeholders and adapt to changing priorities
Use IT systems and time recording procedures effectively

This role would suit a motivated individual with at least two years' costs experience, either in-house or with an external costs drafting provider.

Minimum two years' experience in costs drafting or costs law, ideally in-house or with an external supplier
Basic knowledge of legal procedures
Proven IT skills and familiarity with time recording systems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable: ACL qualification or CILEX Part 1 Year 1
Desirable: Experience in one or more legal departments
