Senior Associate - National Professional Indemnity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join our National Professional Indemnity team in Manchester. This team is part of a market-leading insurance and professional risk practice, advising a broad range of professionals and their insurers on high-profile, complex liability claims, regulatory investigations, and coverage matters.

As a Senior Associate, you will manage a diverse caseload involving claims against solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, construction consultants, brokers, and other regulated practitioners. You will handle complex, multi-party disputes (both litigated and pre-action), alongside policy coverage issues and advisory work for major insurers, Lloyd's syndicates, and corporate clients. You will run files independently while also contributing to larger, strategically important matters under partner guidance.

• Minimum of 3 years' PQE (though PQE levels are a guide and all suitable candidates will be considered)
• Previous experience acting on a range of coverage disputes and advisory matters in the financial, professional, and management lines space
• Strong knowledge of the FCA-regulated space and FOS procedures, with experience working on financial lines and coverage matters
• Intellectual versatility and breadth of experience across various coverage and liability matters
• Excellent technical legal skills, including drafting and strategy management, as well as managing and prioritising a full and varied caseload
• Evidence of building a network of contacts and potential clients within the insurance market
• Strong team player, positively contributing to the team in respect of all firm competencies
• Hold a current practising certificate (as required by the Solicitors Act 1974) and have successfully completed a Training Contract (or equivalent) and relevant legal education
