Busy debt finance team in New York is seeking a 1–3 year associate to work on leveraged and secured lending, acquisition financings and related capital markets transactions. The role involves drafting and negotiating facility documents, commitment letters and other financing agreements, preparing issues lists and supporting deal closings.

Ideal candidates will have transactional experience for lenders, borrowers or private equity sponsors, strong academic credentials and prior large-firm training. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range.

Typical annual pay range for this role is $225,000–$260,000 (final offer dependent on geography, experience and skillset).

1–3 years of transactional experience in debt finance, lending, leveraged finance or capital markets
Experience representing lenders, borrowers and/or private equity sponsors; experience closing transactions
Working knowledge of secured lending and familiarity with drafting financing documents and issues lists
Familiarity with UCC Article 9, acquisition financing/commitment letters and debt securities (high-yield and/or convertible notes) preferred
JD (or equivalent) with strong academic record and prior large-firm training; excellent drafting, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters
