Top-tier global law firm seeking an Employee Benefits associate to join its Chicago benefits & ERISA team. The group advises on a full range of employee benefits matters, including qualified retirement plans, multiemployer plans, health and welfare plans, and ACA compliance.

The role offers exposure to transactional and restructuring work within the benefits space, with opportunities to develop specialist ERISA expertise and work on M&A-related benefits issues. The team is described as collegial and provides mentoring and career development for junior attorneys.

Candidates with related experience in tax, labor/benefits advisory, consulting, or accounting will be considered; executive compensation experience is a plus but not required.

1–4 years post-qualification experience in ERISA and employee benefits law
Practical experience with qualified plans, multiemployer pension issues, health & welfare plans, and ACA compliance
Transactional or restructuring experience within employee benefits (M&A experience preferred)
Relevant experience in tax, labor/benefits advising, consulting, or accounting will be considered
