We are seeing consistent demand from clients in Brisbane for experienced employment lawyers, and are looking for practitioners to join a flexible legal resourcing platform that places lawyers and professionals where they are needed most. This is an opportunity for seasoned consultants, contract lawyers, or lawyers looking to move into a consulting role.

You will advise on a broad range of employment and labor matters, including employee relations, employment litigation and investigations, advisory and compliance work (covering discrimination, privacy and safety laws), collective bargaining and industrial relations, and support on corporate transactions and restructurings. The role also involves working on large-scale complex remediation projects and payroll remediation and compliance programs.

You will handle compliance with work health and safety laws and anti-discrimination matters, and deal with employment regulators. The position calls for strong legal judgement, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence, negotiate and simplify complex legal matters, while confidently liaising with multiple internal stakeholders.

A minimum of 5 years' employment law experience
A current Australian practising certificate
Right to live and work in Australia
Specialist expertise across employee relations, employment litigation and investigations, advisory and compliance, collective bargaining and IR
Experience with safety law, disciplinary issues, termination, complex staff complaints, industrial disputes and grievance handling
Exposure to large-scale remediation projects and/or payroll remediation and compliance programs
Experience dealing with employment regulators
Ability to work autonomously, prioritise and hit the ground running
Strong commercial acumen and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
