Employment Senior Associate

A leading national employment practice is seeking an experienced employment lawyer to join its growing team, with flexibility to be based in Glasgow, Birmingham or Leeds. The group is one of the largest in the UK, with more than 60 employment lawyers nationwide and colleagues across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific, combining strong regional relationships with genuine international reach.

You will advise major UK and international organisations, including household-name businesses and institutions, acting as a commercial partner that understands their sectors and delivers practical advice aligned with wider business and people objectives. The focus is on strategic, varied work rather than simply identifying legal risk — helping clients navigate sensitive workforce issues, deliver change and find legally robust, commercially realistic solutions.

The work is broad and often high profile, spanning complex Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation, workforce reorganisations and redundancies, industrial relations, senior exits and executive reward, team moves and restrictive covenants, global mobility, employment support on transactions and outsourcing, workplace investigations, equality and pay reporting, and the impact of technology and AI on the workplace. Many matters carry an international dimension and involve close collaboration across the global network.

• At least 4 years' PQE gained in a strong commercial practice
• Comfortable advising on strategic employment matters and handling complex disputes
• Strong technical skills and sound commercial judgement
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach
