Leading international law firm is seeking an Executive Compensation associate to join its Employment & Labor practice in Washington, DC. The role focuses on executive compensation and employee benefits matters in connection with mergers & acquisitions and other business transactions.

The team advises on design, negotiation and documentation of equity and cash incentive arrangements, change-in-control and severance arrangements, and benefits-related provisions in transactional agreements. The group works closely with corporate deal teams and provides practical, market-focused counsel to clients.

  • 2–6 years of relevant PQE in executive compensation and employee benefits work
  • Experience advising on exec comp issues in M&A and other commercial transactions
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills; comfort preparing agreements, disclosures and plan documents
  • Juris Doctor and active bar admission; strong academic and professional references
