Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its corporate practice in San Francisco. This role focuses on private investment fund formation and related transactional work.
Responsibilities will include:
- Representing sponsors and investors in the formation and operation of private investment funds, including private equity and hedge funds.
- Advising on sponsor-level matters involving general partner and management company entities.
- Handling secondary transactions involving limited partner and/or portfolio company interests.
The ideal candidate will have two to seven years of relevant experience, preferably gained in the corporate department of a national or international law firm, and a strong academic record from a nationally recognized law school. - Two to seven years of experience in private investment fund formation, including fund formation, sponsor-level, and secondary transactions.
- Experience representing both sponsors and investors in private investment funds.
- Background in the corporate department of a national or international law firm preferred.
- High level of academic achievement from a nationally recognized law school.
