A leading law firm is seeking a corporate attorney with two to seven years of private investment fund formation experience to join its San Francisco office. The role sits within an active funds and transactional practice serving sponsors and investors across the private capital markets.

The attorney will represent fund sponsors and investors in the formation and closing of private investment funds, and will handle sponsor-level transactions involving general partner and management company entities. The work also includes secondary transactions involving limited partner and portfolio company interests.

Two to seven years of private investment fund formation experience.
Experience representing sponsors and investors in private investment funds.
Demonstrated work on fund formation transactions, sponsor-level transactions involving GP/management company entities, and secondaries involving LP and/or portfolio company interests.
Prior experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm preferred.
Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
