An elite IP litigation practice in Palo Alto is seeking a talented mid-level lateral associate to join its patent and general IP litigation team. The role centers on complex technology disputes, with a particular emphasis on emerging areas at the intersection of intellectual property and artificial intelligence, where precedent is still developing.

The successful candidate will engage directly with sophisticated technology clients on high-stakes matters, navigate novel legal questions, and collaborate closely across offices and practice groups. Strong communication skills and a genuinely collaborative approach are essential.

Lateral candidate with strong patent and/or general IP litigation experience (class of 2023–2022)
Technical background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
Experience with complex technology disputes, ideally including IP/artificial intelligence intersections
Active member of the California bar
Ability to work effectively across offices and practice areas
High level of academic achievement and prior experience at a peer firm preferred
U.S.P.T.O. registration is a plus
