Leading national law firm is seeking a lateral partner to join its Employment & Labor practice in Charlotte with a focus on employee benefits and ESOP work. The role will advise employers on the design, negotiation and compliance aspects of benefit plans and equity/ownership transition matters.

The team handles a broad mix of transactional and advisory matters for private and public employers. The position offers collaboration across offices and opportunities to grow a benefits/ESOP practice within an established platform; candidates with a portable practice or demonstrable client development ability are encouraged to apply.

Partner-level experience advising on employee benefits, ERISA and ESOP-related matters
Strong technical knowledge of benefit plan design, compliance and transactional issues
Proven client-development skills and ability to lead matters and mentor junior lawyers
Eligible to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction and able to work from the Charlotte office
