Leading national employment & labor practice is seeking a lateral partner to join its Washington, D.C. office. The role will focus on defending and advising employers in high‑stakes discrimination, wage & hour, and class/collective actions, along with related employment counseling and litigation matters.

The team handles complex, large‑scale matters for major employers across multiple industries. The office is looking for a seasoned trial and appellate advocate who can manage significant litigation, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to the practice’s strategic growth.

A portable practice or proven client development track record is welcome; the firm supports partners who bring or build a book of business and who will play an active role in business development and client relationship management.

  • Established partner or equivalent with a strong focus on discrimination, wage & hour, and class/collective action defense
  • Deep litigation experience, including managing complex matters and courtroom or appellate exposure
  • Proven client development and relationship management skills; ability to grow a team and contribute to practice strategy
  • Bar admission in D.C. or ability to qualify; excellent writing, advocacy, and mentoring experience
