Senior partner hire to lead and grow a broad energy-focused practice from an established regional office in Charleston. The role covers energy (including renewables and oil & gas), energy-related tax, environmental regulatory work, maritime and construction disputes and transactions, and infrastructure projects.

The post-holder will advise sponsors, developers, and commercial clients on regulatory, transactional and tax matters across the project lifecycle, and will collaborate with cross-practice teams on complex, multidisciplinary matters.

Portable business is welcomed — the firm seeks a partner who can bring and further develop client relationships while mentoring and building a local team.

Seasoned partner-level lawyer with a track record in energy (renewables and/or oil & gas), environmental regulatory work, energy tax, maritime or construction matters.
Proven client-development skills and experience managing transactions, projects or contentious matters at senior level; portable book of business encouraged.
Experience working across multidisciplinary teams (tax, regulatory, transactional) and mentoring junior lawyers.
Admitted and able to practice in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction or eligible for admission.
