Lateral Partner — Private Credit / Leveraged Finance (New York)

We are running a confidential search at partner level. The mandate is reviewed on a rolling basis with the client, and the detail below reflects the current brief.

Senior hire to lead and grow a lender-side private credit/leveraged finance practice within a well-established international law platform. The role is focused on originating and executing sponsor-backed and middle-market financings for a broad lender client base.

Geographic priority is on key U.S. financial centres (notably New York, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and Charlotte); there is limited potential for London-based candidates. The partnership is a one-tier structure and the team handles cross-border matters between the U.S. and other jurisdictions.

• Proven track record leading lender-side private credit and leveraged finance transactions
• Significant origination and client-development experience with sponsor-backed financings
• Ability to manage and mentor junior lawyers and lead complex cross-border deals
• Strong US bar admission(s) or equivalent qualifications for practice in the candidate's proposed office
• Portable book of business of $2M+ (USD)
