Join a leading international law firm’s Employment, Pensions & Remuneration practice as a Legal Adviser with an academic profile. This part-time role is designed for candidates who combine legal practice with scholarly activity — for example, those writing or holding a PhD or engaged in postdoctoral research or teaching.

You'll act as the practice group's content and know‑how anchor: monitoring and interpreting developments in employment, pensions and remuneration law from a scholarly perspective, producing client- and colleague-facing updates, and translating academic insight into practical guidance and tools for fee-earners and clients.

The role is offered on a flexible, part-time basis (three days per week) to accommodate ongoing academic or teaching commitments and involves close collaboration with the broader Legal Operations and practice teams.

  • PhD in employment, pensions, social security law or closely related field, or actively writing/holding a PhD / engaged in postdoctoral research or academic teaching
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional legal experience
  • Established reputation or clear trajectory as a specialist in employment, pensions and/or remuneration
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills with the ability to translate academic material into practical legal advice
  • Strong communicator and team player; proactive and intellectually curious
