Our Office of the General Counsel is seeking a full-time Legal Conflicts Counsel to join our team. This role will be based in any of our U.S. offices, with a preference for Arizona, California, Colorado, or Nevada, and is eligible for remote work.

In this position, you will play a key role in safeguarding our firm's ethical and professional obligations by reviewing conflicts of interest reports, analyzing potential ethical and business conflicts, and collaborating with lawyers to resolve issues. You will also review client-facing documentation and provide guidance on professional conduct and firm procedures. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review daily conflicts of interest reports and identify potential ethical and business conflicts related to new matters.
  • Analyze conflicts and pursue resolutions, including drafting waivers and discussing options with firm lawyers.
  • Review engagement letters, outside counsel guidelines, and other client-facing documents.
  • Provide professional conduct guidance and support to lawyers and staff on ethics and firm procedures.
  • Undertake additional ethics and professional responsibility projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing in a jurisdiction where the firm has an office.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-house corporate environment; prior conflicts experience is a plus.
  • Strong command of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct and relevant state rules.
  • High professional ethics and integrity, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to improve operational efficiencies; working knowledge of Intapp new business intake/conflicts software is highly desired.
