Well-established national law firm is seeking an experienced lateral partner to lead and agriculture-focused practice from its Chicago office. The role involves advising agribusiness clients on commercial transactions, regulatory matters, and industry-specific issues, and leading a small team of lawyers.

The firm is open to candidates based anywhere in the United States and will consider partners with a portable practice. This is a business-development focused role: the successful candidate will grow client relationships, cross-sell into related industry groups, and help shape the firm's agriculture offering.

Partner-level experience with a sustained agriculture or agribusiness practice
Strong transactional and/or regulatory experience relevant to agricultural clients; cannabis experience is a plus
Proven business development record and ability to bring or grow client relationships (portable book of business welcome)
Experience leading and mentoring a team; excellent client-facing and communication skills
Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction or ability to transfer
