Leading full-service German law practice is seeking a lateral partner to join its Compliance & Regulatory and Finance & Banking teams in Chemnitz. The role is focused on advising financial institutions and corporates on regulatory matters, compliance programmes and cross-border finance transactions.

The successful candidate will take a visible client-facing role, grow a regulatory-driven finance practice and work closely with colleagues across Germany. The office offers strong firm support for business development and a clear platform to expand an existing client base.

Qualified to practice in Germany with significant partner-level experience in regulatory and banking/finance matters
Proven track record advising banks, financial institutions or corporate clients on compliance, regulatory and Dodd-Frank-related issues
Demonstrable client relationships or a portable practice; ability to originate and develop new mandates
Experience leading teams and working collaboratively across offices; strong commercial and business-development skills
Fluent German and good English; excellent drafting and negotiation skills
