An Am Law 20 firm seeks a highly qualified private equity associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Palo Alto office. The role focuses on private equity and M&A transactions, representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.

The ideal candidate will have strong drafting, writing, and analytical skills, with experience negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other ancillary transaction documents. The position requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with client business teams and play a lead role in transactions. The firm offers a competitive salary range of $260,000 - $390,000, depending on experience and location, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

3-6 years of private equity and M&A experience
Experience drafting and negotiating purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and ancillary transaction documents
Excellent academic credentials
Prior large firm experience working with private equity sponsors
