Senior Associate, Liability – Sydney

Leading insurance defence team in Sydney is seeking a Senior Associate with substantial liability litigation experience to join its Liability/Casualty practice. The role offers exposure to a broad range of insurer instructions, including public and product liability, property damage, catastrophic claims, marine, aviation and general insurance litigation.

You will manage complex matters with direct client contact, run files with an appropriate level of autonomy, and support and mentor junior lawyers. The position sits within a well-established liability team that handles both domestic and international insurer work and offers access to a global platform and development opportunities.

• Extensive experience in liability, casualty or insurance litigation
• Strong litigation background across State and Federal Courts
• Proven ability to run complex matters with autonomy and sound commercial judgment
• Client-facing experience and strong relationship-building skills
• Interest in mentoring and developing junior lawyers
