Senior Associate, Private Equity M&A — San Francisco

An established private equity transactional role on the firm’s San Francisco corporate team. The position is for a senior associate to work on buyouts, growth equity, venture financings, leveraged recapitalizations and exits, contributing both as a team member and by running discrete aspects of deals.

The team handles a broad range of private equity and M&A matters for institutional sponsors and growth companies. The role calls for a proactive, business‑minded lawyer who communicates clearly, manages relationships with clients and outside counsel, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

• 6+ years of private equity / M&A transactional experience.
• Experience with mergers & acquisitions, leveraged recapitalizations, growth equity, venture capital, exits and equity compensation.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively on teams and to manage components of transactions independently.
• Outstanding academic credentials and experience at a comparable law firm or equivalent transactional background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and commercial judgment.
• Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly; deal sheet required.
