A prominent national law firm is seeking a senior real estate associate or counsel to join its New York office, handling sophisticated, high-value transactions across acquisition, financing, development, leasing, restructuring and disposition of significant real estate assets. The ideal candidate brings substantial experience on the equity side of complex real estate transactions, representing institutional investors, real estate funds, owners, operators and developers across asset classes including retail, office, multifamily, industrial, healthcare, medical office and life science properties. Matters range from joint venture formation and restructuring to portfolio transactions and leasing.

Candidates should also be comfortable advising on the debt side, including mortgage and mezzanine financing, securitized loans, construction lending, preferred equity investments and bridge financing. 6+ years of meaningful real estate transactional experience on the dirt/equity side, with first-chair capabilities
Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills for complex transactional documents
Ability to deliver practical, business-aligned solutions
Comfort representing clients on the debt side of transactions
Excellent communication and client-management skills
Sophisticated law firm experience preferred
Admission to the New York Bar required
