An established law firm is seeking an experienced executive compensation and benefits associate to join its Executive Compensation & Benefits practice. The role may be based in any of several firm offices across major U.S. markets.

The position focuses on advising clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters, with particular emphasis on such issues arising in mergers and acquisitions. The successful candidate will also handle equity compensation structures for corporations and partnerships and work with the tax rules governing deferred compensation and golden parachute payments.

The firm maintains a collaborative, in-person culture and expects attorneys to be in the office at least three business days per week.

At least 3 years of executive compensation and employee benefits experience
Emphasis on benefits and compensation matters in M&A transactions
Experience with equity compensation for corporations and partnerships
Familiarity with IRC Sections 280G and 409A
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed, or ready to become licensed, in the hiring office's jurisdiction
Excellent academic credentials and superior writing, oral communication and analytical skills
