Seeking a California-licensed associate to join a strong employer-focused labor and employment team in San Diego. The role emphasizes traditional labor relations work representing management, with additional advice-and-counsel assignments on federal and California workplace laws.

Day-to-day responsibilities include handling unfair labor practice matters and NLRB elections, advising on union organizing and collective bargaining, managing grievance and arbitration proceedings, and counseling on wage-and-hour, leave and accommodation issues. The role also involves policy and handbook reviews, compensation plan evaluations, and delivering management training.

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the California bar
  • Approximately 4–6 years' post-qualification experience in labor & employment litigation or counseling
  • Experience with traditional labor relations (NLRB matters, collective bargaining, arbitration) preferred
  • Familiarity with California wage-and-hour and federal/state enforcement practices; strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail; bilingual (Spanish) a plus
