Traditional Labor Law Associate

We are seeking a Traditional Labor Law Associate to join our San Diego office. This role focuses on representing employers in all facets of traditional labor relations, with additional work in advice and counsel on federal and California workplace laws. Responsibilities include handling unfair labor practice charges before the NLRB, representing management in union elections, advising on collective bargaining and union organizing issues, and managing grievance and arbitration proceedings. The role may also involve due diligence on workplace law issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions.

Ideal candidates will have 4-6 years of litigation or advice experience, with traditional labor experience preferred. Strong research, writing, and communication skills are essential, as is California Bar admission. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Some travel may be required.

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
• 4-6 years of experience as an attorney in litigation or advice work
• Traditional labor experience preferred
• Federal and/or California advice and counsel experience preferred
• Active California Bar admission
• Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required
• May require regular business travel
