An established UK firm is seeking a banking & finance associate to join its Manchester banking team. The role involves advising lenders and corporate borrowers on secured and unsecured facilities across acquisition finance, property finance, asset-based lending, refinancing and restructuring.

Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and negotiating bilateral and syndicated facility agreements and ancillary documents, leading aspects of transactions, project-managing deals, supervising junior colleagues and coordinating with overseas counsel as required.

This is a visible role that offers client contact, regional business development activity across the North West (with occasional work supporting other UK offices), and the chance to contribute to a growing team.

Qualified solicitor with solid experience in banking & finance transactional work.
Proven drafting and negotiation skills on facility documentation (bilateral and syndicated).
Strong project-management ability, attention to detail and commercial judgement.
Ability to supervise junior lawyers and work collaboratively with cross-office teams; good IT and legal research skills.
