Apply in confidence →Top-tier international firm is seeking associates to join a U.S.-focused Tax Controversy practice. The group represents corporations, tax-exempt organizations, and high-net-worth individuals in complex federal, state, local, and cross-border tax disputes, and handles matters from early-stage investigations through trial and appeal.
Work includes advising on corporate, partnership, transfer-pricing, SALT, employment/benefits, excise, and information‑gathering matters, as well as sensitive penalty, whistleblower, and self-reporting issues. Associates regularly collaborate with litigation and appellate teams and draw on experience working with tax authorities and former government practitioners.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in tax controversy or related tax litigation matters.
- Experience with corporate, partnership, transfer-pricing, international tax, and/or state and local tax (SALT) issues preferred.
- Strong legal research, written advocacy, and oral advocacy skills; experience in discovery and evidentiary procedures a plus.
- Ability to work on cross‑functional teams and manage client relationships in high‑stakes disputes.
