Competition Associate — Amsterdam

We are seeking a competition/antitrust associate to join a busy Competition team in Amsterdam. The role covers the full range of competition work, including cartel and abuse investigations, merger control and notification work, FDI/FSR filings, state aid and EU law matters, and private enforcement. The Amsterdam team works closely with colleagues in Brussels and with M&A lawyers on notification and clearance matters.

The role includes defending clients in investigations before regulators, drafting filings, providing practical client advice on competition and EU law issues, and contributing to thought leadership and business-development activities such as client workshops, webinars and publications.

• 3–6 years' post-qualification experience in competition/antitrust law at a law firm.
• Strong substantive knowledge of competition and EU law, with experience on investigations and merger control preferred.
• Ability to handle complex matters, excellent analytical skills and a client-service orientation.
• Motivated team player who contributes to business development, training and external publications.
